We heard about this foundation that helps kids with cancer in our local hospital, they were on a tv show asking for donations of any kind, and we decided to make a few toys for them so they could play while they are waiting for the chemo treatment.
We, my wife and I went there and they had a little celebration, with cake, food and some refreshments, we gave them the toys, cars, dolls and tangrams, and they did enjoyed the little cars, they were playing with them all over the room, and after i showed them hot to play with the tangram they were happily taking it appart and putting them back together.
we dont have kids, and while seeing the kids there playing around, we could not imagine the pain that their parents feel, with all the limitations that we have in our hospital, and the growing number of kids with cancer that arrive everyday to that room looking for help, its sad, really, but seeing the kids playing, like kids do, gave us a little hope, and thats the last thing we have to let go, we only have the hope that they will get better.
