Hi all, I never know where to post anything so I guess this is the place
for now. I picked up this old Sears & Roebuck variable speed massager
from an older lady I was doing a roof job for, she wanted to throw it in the
dumpster. It’s in near mint condition,(strap also). Anyway I posted on
Craigslist for $75.00 a couple of different times and there was no interest.
I’m not giving it away so I figure I can do something with it. ( not sure
what ) It has a 1/4 hp 1725 rpm motor. The variable speed pulley is a
pretty neat setup. The speed knob moves the motor tightening the belt
spreading the pulley which speeds up rpm’s on the shaft ( hard to explain,
kind of like a torque converter on a go cart ) Anyway, I’m looking for
ideas on what to do with or make out of this thing. A couple grinding
wheels would work but I have a nice bench grinder.I also thought
using the variable speed pulley on my little lathe.
Thanks for any help or ideas.
Andy
