My new Grizzly Band Saw

I finally broke down and purchased a band saw and I watched the video by Alex Snodgrass 4 times while waiting for it to arrive.
The video was most informative and evidently the right way to set one up because I had occasion today to do a few resaws on some 3/4” poplar. I needed 8 box bottoms and the easiest way to get them was to resaw a few pieces I had previously cut and decided not to use them as they were. ( a cutting mistake ? naw )
Using the Grizzly fence and set on the right side of the blade to about 3/16” I started cutting. I made 2 passes on the one piece and the remainiung piece looked like it would provide a 3rd bottom so I ran it thru again. To my total amazement I did get a 3rd piece and a shaving. I couldn’t believe my eyes so I put a micrometer on the shaving that was cut off. It mic’ed .020 on all four corners so I cut the rest in the same manner and ended up with 3 shavings that were near perfect in dimension. One of the shavings had a feather edge on one corner, so I guess I must have blinked when I made the final push passed the blade.
All this rambling is just that, I apologise for that but the point to all this rhetoric is that the Grizzly did what it was supposed to do and more mostly because of the video by Alex Snodgrass.
