The Journey #1: First post in my new blog.

Well, I have never had a BLOG before, so I figured I would give it a try. I am a new woodworker with a lot of thirst for learning new things and putting them to use. I have been going at it for a little less than a year. I have been around woodworking all my life because my dad has done it and even had his own companies that work in wood. So it is not a foreign thing, just something I never had the time or space to get interested in until now.

Almost two years ago, I bought a new house, and it has a full basement. Wow, what a world of possibility. It has since started turning into the wood shop. After many hours of watching Youtube videos and learning new skills, I am slowly getting a shop put together. I made a grand work bench shortly after moving in. Just had some hand tools and power tools. No big saws or anything. Then I picked up a new Porter Cable table saw at lowes for a pretty good deal. Then things really took off. Every week it seems that I need something new, or a new place to get wood, or trying new things out. I has been fun thus far and I look forward to many years of fun and challenge.
