Lee and Shelley's Wet Bar #7: Installation Day at Last

Installation Day has come at last

Here are a couple of pics before we started installing the cabinets. It was a plain wall with plumbing roughed in many years ago.

After installing the two right cabinets, I took some measurements and cut an opening in the back of the sink base. I got a good fit. After installing it, the refrigerator was temporarily set in place. The left cabinet was then set in place.

The cabinets have been leveled and screwed to the wall. The homeowner is ordering granite soon. I installed a black rubber toe kick under the cabinets. I plan to go back and sit the fridge on a short platform to raise it up under the counter top.

They are really happy. Now if she would just get the drawer pulls ordered so I can attach the drawer fronts, this part would be complete.

My little assistant showed up to help with the installation. She loves to help apply the painters tape. :-)

That brings this project up to date. I have purchased the plywood to build the upper cabinets. I already have the sheet goods cut down into manageable pieces so, hopefully, I will get started building the uppers tomorrow.

Thanks for following my project.
Mike
