Happy Valentines Day everyone!

I did manage to squeak some shop related stuff in there as well. I am off today due to too many hours (They made me take off) and my lovely bride is working today. This gave me the opportunity to suprise her at work wtih lunch, and a dozen long stem roses…

I had some V-day shopping to do that required I go to the garden dept at the big box stores. She wanted a big planter for her orchids, and some rose bushes… She likes flowers, but prefers them to stay alive as long as possible… So I obliged, while I was there I managed to pick up a few items for the shop…

#1. No more separating Titebond II in that old gallon for me! I picked up a pint of Titebond III. I figure I may have to spend a bit more to get another pint, if I run into a need within the year, but not knowing how long wood glue holds in the bottle, I figure keeping my inventory low was a better idea…

#2. A 4 pack of clear silicone adhesive caulk. I need this to finish up my DC ducting, and yes I know latex is a LOT cheaper, but silicone is easier to get apart, and off of components if reconfiguration of my DC is needed later.

I managed to get most, but not all of the non shop stuff into the attic. I still have a tote of extension cords. (HOW did I ever get so many extension cords?!), my tackle box, and fishing net need to elsewhere, but other than that, I am down to shop, and lawn & garden in the garage…

I also managed to get the dry fitted dust collection riser / blast gate assembled with clear silicone caulk. I am now ready to install on the existing wye. But not going to happen today. I need to go pick LOML up from her office and bring her home to get ready for our V-day night…

Hope everyone out there has a great valentines day! Remember we need to keep those greeting card people, florists, candy companies and restaurants in the economy don’t we?
