Well, life will have me moving cities to a new place with a new job. It’s a great opportunity, and with this opportunity is a new shop. My current shop is a horrifically cluttered 1-car garage that I can’t leave any one tool permanently set up in. The number of times I’ve bent over to pick something up and gotten a clamp in my keester is embarrassing. My table saw is a fold-down portable rigid saw that has served me well but is ready to move on. It is best friends with a bench top 6” jointer with a fence that leans like that tower in Italy that’s on so many pizza boxes, and a DeWalt planer.
The space is shared by two motorcycles and the other stuff that any homeowner needs to keep in their garage. Time to move on.
Our new place has as nice 3 car attached garage that my lovely wife-to-be has stated should be my workshop. We will leave 1 stall for our small car, which will also be shared by our bikes, although a separate car port/shed for the bikes and lawnmower etc. is in the future. I can’t have all 3 spots, but the 20
time for my first real shop #1: A Blank Slate...
