just a quick update on the book, the publishers have agreed to do an enhanced ebook. (So although you get the standard “e-pub” version with / without flowable text, it is basically just an electonic version of the print copy – these will also be available as a basic replica of the print version). The enhanced ebook however features dynamic content such as a rotatable 3D image, assembly sequence animations with voice overs and I will even add some of the speed woodworking videos I have featured on the site previously.
It will be on the iPad as an iBook and I am busy working on the animations and dynamic content at the moment. I have looked in the iBook store for woodworking books but couldn’t find any enhanced ebooks – if anyone knows any I would really like to have a look at them, please let me know. You get converted ebooks, eg Popular Woodworking have back issues in PDF format and there are a number of older books also converted but I can’t find any new ones specifically published for that format…..??
