Home wired remote dust collector switch

I guess this would be more an electrical project than a woodworking project, but I thought I would post here as some might want to make something similar.

I wanted a remote switch for my Harbor Freight dust collector. I looked at the ones in woodworking catalogs; however, I was concerned about their reliability, as may people have said they die after a year.

Falling asleep one night, I came up with a way to easily make one. In short, I used a $10 wireless remote switch to run a contactor relay, which can handle the power demands of the dust collector. The good thing about this design is that if anything dies, it will be a cheap & easy fix. This design could easily be modified to power a 220V dust collector.

How hard was it to wire? Well if you can barely wire an outlet, this is NOT the project for you. If you can easily wire a 3-way switch and can understand my drawing, it is relatively straightforward.
