A few weeks ago I posted a project had built that I am sure everyone has seen in the woodworking magazines as well as a few books and in the post I had shown my third book rack and yes I am tired of making this exact project but I cant stop. I like it and I’m hooked. I thought I would change it up a bit by adding a bit of Marquetry to the sides. I set out to find a design that would compliment the style as well as the wood which is cherry I want to do this in the form of an inlay on each side of the book rack. I scanned the photo and I used Photo Shop to put the colors from the veneers I want to use, I just haven’t done the shading. Next I will get it printed then cut it out and hold it up to the side if the book rack to see if I like it or not.
The only thing I am not sure about is the fact that the through tenons may cut off part of the design so we will see how it comes out and if needed I may have to make some changes. Design 8” X 12.5
