my first blog entry: I made a plexiglass cross cut sled! & step by Video

I needed a new tablesaw sled for a different saw im using. I’m currently finishing a miter saw cut station I built & needed a sled to make small cuts with. After having made a few others I notice how wooden sleds react to moisture content in the air so I wanted this new one to be built with out wood. I made this new sled out of left over plexiglass I had laying around & I used aluminum for the runners. The fence is actual bulletproof glass.
It came out better looking than I would of thought. I used machine screws to tap the glass fence & bolts to attach the runners to the 1/2” thick deck.

Here I will include a video of the project. Its kinda long but I was messing around while editing the video.

I’ve been here for years, signed up a year ago & wanted to participare more so just dropping a line.
Im Mike & I like doing projects. I sometimes try to keep up & record the progress on my projects, This time I had more time so was playing around. If anyone finds my blog post & watches the video really hope it was worth your time since its looooong.. Until next time….
ps, I may try to edit a quick version of this video sometime & cut out the talking.

REALLY NO BIG DEAL THOUGH, Just another sled video, one of a million. I like this new sled because its fully adjustable…..

I’ll try to upload a few images to this blog asap.
